Steps to Infill Your Artificial Putting Green
Step 1: Distributing Infill
- First spread the infill evenly over your putting green area.
- Then infill the fringe areas. There are a couple of ways you can do this. We are using a drop spreader today.
Step 2: Brushing Infill Into The Turf
- Use a push broom or stiff bristled brush to work the infill down into the turf fibers.
- Brush in multiple directions to ensure the infill is distributed evenly and settles properly.
- Brushing against the grain will allow the infill to settle easily.
Step 3: Settling Time
- Allow the infill to settle for a few hours or even overnight.
Step 4: Finishing touches
- After the settling time, inspect the putting green and fringe surface.
- Play on the putting green to see if there are any uneven areas. Adjust the infill distribution as needed.
- If necessary, repeat the brushing process. Sweep the turf to remove any debris or loose sand.
